In this book, Morgan's talents in writing both prose and poetry are combined with his
paintings to weave the story of seventeen-year-old artist Daniel discovering himself and
his talents. Daniel's journey to self-actualization is written in three distinct books in
which the reader views the artist's inner turmoil through his struggling poetry and
scattered paintings, his friend's remembrances, and his dreams.
This unique melding of different, often disparate art forms, chronicles the growth of a
Self of the Me decade into the quantum energy that life is, that life gives to the
anxious, listening soul that all artists attempt to depict. |

Circle of the
White Buffalo |
Completed in February of 1996
Ready for publication; in search of a publisherA modern tale of family, fantasy, and
brotherly love set in
the year 1990, against the backdrop of the various religions
in Brazil, the deforestation of the Brazilian rain forest, and
the infusion of man into an unknown but hauntingly
beautiful wilderness.
It is the story of an American Indian doctor who is dying of AIDS and his relentless
struggle and search for evidence of the existence of a younger cousin thought to be lost
in a plane crash in 1978 in the jungles northwest of Manuas, Brazil, when the younger
cousin was only twelve.
The doctor, Robert, is driven to give a final closure to an open wound in his family by
finding what really happened to his younger cousin, Solomon, as well as his aunt and
uncle. The through line of the doctor's search and discovery incorporates the melding of
North and South American lore, the survival and evolution of cultures, and the acceptance
of nature as a deity, the ultimate guide, of a previously undiscovered South American
Indian tribe.
The story unapologetically presents homosexuality as a fact of nature in all cultures,
a fact that is viewed, dealt with, incorporated and valued differently by the various
cultural bigotry's of the protagonists depending on the influence of organized religion
exerted in their lives. The language is
lyrical and often poetic in description, using dream sequences to alter the reader's
conception of reality, while the through
line remains fast-paced, confronting the dangers and incongruities of the jungle along the
uncharted waterways
of northwest Brazil. |

Memories
of
Aunt Aura |
Completed in February of 2000
Ready for publication; in search of a publisherThis book is a
composite transcription of Morgan's Aunt Aura Wood Johnson Neely's diaries which began in
1923 until her last year in 1994, woven with all the saved letters she received from
Morgan, as well as memories Morgan has of her.
Aura was an important person in the history of nursing in the state of Oregon, as she
was in charge of licensing and accreditation of nursing homes, daycare centers and
hospitals for the State of Oregon from the 1940's until her retirement in 1973. She was
also responsible for the implementation of Medicare within the State.
Aura was born in 1904, and wrote nearly every day starting with her acceptance into
nursing school in 1923. This book gives the reader a view of the inventions, disasters and
events of the 20th century from the personal view of a working woman who was married only
five short years before her husband's premature death. She had no children of her own, yet
helped raise and influence her brother's and her husband's sons, as well as her nephew
Morgan. |
